Who is required to attend: Bride, the bride's marriage guardian, Groom, and at least two witnesses |

Mahr: The Mahr (bride gift) is to be given in whole or in part from the groom directly to the bride at the time of the marriage. We will not perform a marriage in which there is no proof that the bride has received her mahr. |

Marriage in Islam
"And among God's signs is this: He created for you mates from amongst yourselves (males as mates for females and vice versa) that you might find tranquility and peace in them. And he has put love and kindness among you. Herein surely are signs for those who reflect." Quran 30:21
The Prophet says, "No house has been built in Islam more beloved in the sight of Allah than through marriage."
On another occasion the Prophet –peace be upon him- said: "The best people of my nation are those who get married and have chosen their wives, and the worst people of my nation are those who have kept away from marriage and are passing their lives as bachelors."
Various studies prove that married people remain healthier, physically and mentally. Islam has always maintained that marriage is beneficial for us in many ways.
Islam also regards marriage as a way to acquire spiritual perfection. The Prophet –peace be upon him- said, "One who marries, has already guarded half of his religion, therefore he should fear Allah for the other half." How true! A person who fulfills his sexual urges lawfully would rarely be distracted in spiritual pursuits
Who is eligible to marry?
For man to become eligible for taking a woman's hand in marriage, Islam has several recommendations. According to Islamic laws, when a boy attains the age where he becomes sexually potent, he is Baligh, and has attained puberty. But this is not enough for entering into a contract of marriage.
Apart from the laws related to puberty, there is a concept of capability of a sensible conduct or maturity �Rashid� and financially ability to support family.
Muslims believe that Islam provides a detailed and accurate description of how to achieve a harmonious marriage, since the instructions came from the creator of man.
At the same time, since Islam condemns premarital sex and encourages early marriage, most Muslim youths have grown up with a clear picture of how what Islam expects from them in a marriage, and in the first hand do not seek love, but rather seek a mate that fulfills their expectations of a good Muslim marriage.
